Not going to lie I thought they were going to bring WereGarurumon. But Manticoremon can work 2 also finally Lamortmon debut was an epic one at that can’t wait for future episodes

Lamortmon was driven by the duty to protect Ruli at all cost and not lose. Aside from that however, he's more or less a feral beast and if Darcmon didn't step in on time he definitely would have killed Manticoremon. I imagine this will be a problem to deal with later as Angoramon was willing to kill another Digimon if it means to protect Ruli as he had done previously.

The legend of the werewolf Granny Sachi told Ruli about, about the werewolf and a girl who was willing to be together despite how both sides opposed it, but it ended in tragedy with the maiden dying and the werewolf consumed with grief and forever unleashed his wrath to the humans who had wronged him. While Manticoremon devoured data on said legend and ended up acting as that werewolf, it's kind of a saying towards Angoramon and Ruli's relationship. One day people will know about Digimon and Ruli's secret with Angoramon becomes exposed. Angoramon would be forced to choose a side either to protect his own kind or the humans when that day eventually comes.

It's already confirmed that Lamortmon is Angoramon's Ultimate/Perfect form.

Probably, they'll make it as his true Ultimate form, but he'll become way better (personality wise) after he reached Mega form (just like Monodramon from Tamers, owned by Ryo, which went wild after it goes Ultimate, Cyberdramon, and later become composed during his Mega form, which is Justimon)

This episode was great... until it wasn't... Like, the fight and the animation sequences were great, but ending the battle in such an anticlimactic way was not fun! I would have loved to see Lamortmon killing Manticoremon just so everyone knows that he means business.

Then again... I think we can all be happy that Angoramon managed to gain his Ultra at last, and Lamortmon looks cool AF, was not expecting him to be a real savage tho, but I'm glad that Ruli is the one that can control him... so this is pretty much a The Hulk situation in the end XD

So the party so far is: Angoramon (Barbarian), Gammamon (Fighter), Jellymon (Cleric), it makes me wonder if their Mega evolutions will bring a drastic change to this composition, but guess we just need to wait and see.

I think it's a good thing Darcmon showed up when he did or else Angoramon would have definitely killed Manticoremon. I think Ruli saw right away Angoramon's Ultimate isn't going to be one they can rely on too often unless it's a last resort.

What I'm more curious about is the legend of the werewolf Granny Sacchi told Ruli about and how it ended. It feels too familiar to Ruli's and Angoramon's relationship somehow and it almost feels like an omen of what is to come one day. Digitamamon eluded to Angoramon will be put at a crossroads one day after Angoramon was forced to kill him. Now there was this legend where the humans did not tolerate the moon princess being with the werewolf in that legend but in their attempts to kill the werewolf they killed the princess too.

You might be overthinking about the legend a little bit... but it's worth considering I guess.

I mean it could be Granny Sacchi telling Ruli about the story as Ruli's parents despite carrying the family name of Tsukiyono never did or simply doesn't know it. I know I might be overthinking it but why give it the time to even tell of it let alone show the art with the story being told?

So far the series is like that in some of the episodes. The writers/director cuts the episode off where it's about to be perfect. Sometimes the episode ends nicely yet it feels like there was something more to be done.
It's not bad just feels incomplete.

Angoramon (Wise huggable bear) > SymbaAngoramon (Devoted butler fighter) > LaMortmon (Rampaging monster)

... I think I see what they did there... But I'm not sure. ( =.=)

I can see what your saying but I wouldn’t call Gammamon “impulsive” maybe “innocent”. Also I think his champion forms have somewhat the same personality with only small differences like telling the difference between 3 different elements Fire, Wind, and Thunder, witch is what they represent but other than that your not far off there buddy

I did call Gammamon a "child", implying that he is also innocent and ignorant on some points, but I see what you mean. ^^b Concerning the Champion forms, yeah, obviously they have the same personality but it's hard to say more than "Gammamon but more mature"...

They're all named after Turkey's capital "Ankara" and live around its region. Angoramon could have evolved into a goat then a cat... then whatever. Though his line is really cool lol.

that is more of the actual Digimon's evoline rather than the show since Digimon can normally have multiple branches for digivolution, some of them being drastically different from the others. Like, would you expect a cat like Gatomon to become Angewoman if you didn't already see it? best way to understand it is play one of the recent games like Cybersleuth

Wow, I have to admit that they did well in this episode. The fight animation scenes look sick af, also SymbareAngoramon's evolution animation looks pretty cool (someone said that it looks like the beauty and the beast xD). And also the plot is quite interesting, like the story about the werewolf and the maiden...

Also, it looks like Lamortmon is much more violent at first glance but he's mostly kept his sanity and still listens to Ruli. ಠ‿ಠ

Got to agree, the ending and the fight seem forced and too quick finish, also sloppy.

Ye, I didn't want to mention that because it seems like they ran out of energy after making the evolution lol. I was hoping they'd show up how violent Lamortmon is, but the animation only making him looks like he was just scratching over and over.

LaMortmon feels like such a jeckl and Hyde situation, Angoramon and SymbareAngoramon being the Jeckl, caring, calm, protective. Then Hyde comes out and loses control

To be fair in the OG Story it was basically just q desguice Potion, Jekyll was just reserved and didnt acted out.

What I liked:
- The fight's animation before Lamortmon's arrival.
- Lamortmon's evolution sequence was fire, it was definitely the best out of the three.
- Lamortmon's design is amazing, I like it the best, Thetismon is cool and Canoweissmon is definitely the blandest and the worst out of the three perfects.
What I hated:
- The fight's animation after Lamortmon's arrival. Did they seriously blow up their budget BEFORE his evolution? Makes no sense.
- Lamortmon's "rampaging" I am deeply disappointed, we were hyped for months and waiting to see his appearance only to see that he isn't actually THAT angry or brutal like the description and design suggested. Was he a little brutal? Yes, he was but it wasn't enough. It was a blink or miss it moment, he was trying to kill it until Ruli said "stop it!" and then all was forgotten, it just was...weird. I felt like they didn't give it the importance it deserves if it's going to be a storyline for Ruli to resolve later, they ignored it after he de-evolved and nobody mentioned it again, I'm worried that they are not going to show his rampage later because there is no enough time.
- Digitamamon's death had no role in his evolution, heck he was completely forgotten since his death by Angoramon back 6 episodes ago, such a weird choice of writing that I completely don't like because they reset the status quo too many times.
- Ruli's "revelation" thing in the end, I didn't understand it, I didn't like it. Felt like the writers just wanted to set up a storyline in the future but can also abandon it if they want to so they included that bit. It was confusing as hell.
- The next episode is a random adventure thing, damn it, we are in episode 35 already! Too many episodes are fillers and I'm not excited for the next one because I can see how it will go, they should stop screwing around already.

I was okay with the episodic thing for like 20 episodes, but they have been teasing those Black digimons and we still haven't known anything about them, Hiro's dad or digital world, they really need to move on

After that response to Hiro's letter to his dad I lost all hope for an actual overarching plot. I'm only continuing to watch this to see their mega forms

During development Manticoremon had two blue/yellow tails and its arms were instead blue monster heads. Its wings were Angel wings and its face wasn't covered in a mask. It also had black bandages on its legs.

Man what a downgrade of an evo kadjfadjfalkdjf SymbaAngoramon has such a nice design I hate to see it turn into.... that.
